Scott Mead began seriously photographing at around the age of 13 when he received an old camera which had belonged to his grandfather. He continued his photographic work through high school and college, studying under renowned American photographers William Eggleston, Emmet Gowin and Minor White in the mid-1970s, prior to his banking career.
